CEBIB

Founded in 1999, CEBIB is an ‘Exellence Center for the Industrial Biotechnologies’, located near the Biotechnology and Biosciences Department of the University of Study of Milano-Bicocca.

CEBIB is an initiative sponsored by the Regione Lombardia and the University of Study of Milano-Bicocca, with the mission to enforce the research activities, to build innovative technological initiatives and to support technological transfer activities in order to develop biotechnological researches and transfer the results to the small and medium companies.

CEBIB research is focuses on farmacogenomic, chemistries and fermentative and bioinformatics areas and it has carried to development innovative technological platforms relative to the molecular and cellular biology, the chemistries syntesis, the trascrittoma analysis (microarray e DNA), the proteoma analysis (spettometria MALDITOF, Biacore, bidimensional elettroforesi), the fermentations in GPL (good practice in laboratory) and the bioinformatics.

The ‘Neurosciences Laboratory RITA LEVI-MONTALCINI’ is an integrating part of CEBIB. Founded in April 1999 it promotes the researches of biotechnological applications on NGF (nerve growth factor) and it’s supported by the ‘Levi-Montalcini Association’.
